Obstructive Sleep Apnea

OSA or Obstructive Sleep Apnea is one of the common sleep disorders, that happen during the sleep, and it causes pauses in breathing, while you are asleep. They can last seconds or minutes and might happen up to 3o times an hours, then breathing starts again.

This is a chronic disorders, and there are some tests need to be done to diagnose it properly. These tests have to be done during the sleep hours, that is why this disorder can not be diagnosed during normal hours, and sometimes people are unaware that they have it.

If Sleep Apnea is left untreated, it can be a cause of excessive sleepiness, tiredness, or even can be a reason for:

  • diabetes
  • heart failure
  • heart problem
